Media Cleaner Pro is a tool that detects unused and useless files from your WordPress. It cleans up your media library and downloads directory. What exactly does the plugin do? The plugin checks if: the physical file is attached to the media library, the media file is used in the post, the media file is used in the custom post field, the media file is used in the WordPress posts gallery, the retina media file (under the retina screen) has a regular file (the file without @ 2x). In case of mismatch with the specified checks, the plugin will mark the found files, which can be deleted in the future. What items need to be checked is set in the plugin settings.
